Description: I acquired this Republican hanging ribbon from a higher end political auction that was filled with great political memorabilia. Please see my other auctions for more rare and intriguing political memorabilia. I thought about breaking this item up into 4 lots but decided to keep them together. The thing is, I do not know if they were originally together. I am offering them as received. There are three pins on ribbon hanging from a GOP elephant hanger pin.. The first is a "Washington" pin that features an eagle with its wings spread over the US Capitol. The second pin is "United States Senate" pin, and the last is a "2001 Presidents Club" pin. My best guess would be this was worn by someone who worked with a Senator or was a Senator. In January 2001 George W. Bush was sworn into office. It could be a ribbon that was worn during the inauguration. I'm dating to 2001 based on the 2001 Presidents Club pin. I would typically associate these types of ribbons with the Republican National Convention, which would have been in 2000... Once again, I do not know if these items were assembled by a collector or if they were actually worn together. The political auction was influential enough for them to be from an original group, but who knows....
