Description: Up for sale is my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado LS 2WD extended cab short bed. I purchased the truck in 2010 with approximately 120k miles from an elderly couple and believe I am the third owner. I have some of the records from them for oil changes etc, along with all the original sales information/brochure, and window sticker. I have used it like a car for the last 15 years. I haven't done any towing, or used it as a work truck, it was a daily driver. It has the tow package with oil color, hitch receiver and plug below the bumper, and 4 wheel disc brakes, 4.8 V8, power windows & locks with 2 keyless entry remotes, LS model with bucket seats, console, overhead console, and even a/c vents for the rear passengers. It is completely stock other than the following: 22" Escalade wheels and tires, 2006 tail lamps, painted door handles from a Tahoe, painted tailgate handle and bezel, locking gas cap, bedliner, black mirror caps, and 5% window tint. I shaved the factory body side moldings off of the cab corners and the bed in front of the rear wheels. All badges have been removed. It has a Pioneer cd player with aux input as well upgraded speakers. It has the Flowmaster delta series exhaust installed with nice dual stainless tips, which makes a little rumble accelerating but does not drone and isn't obnoxious. There is a triple chime air horn installed behind the front bumper with an air tank mounted on the left frame rail. The button is located on the dash next to the cargo lamp button. It's not a train horn, but it is loud. Since owning it I have replaced the following: Front and rear rotors and pads and hoses, rear calipers, starter (within the last year or so $200 receipt), a/c tensioner, water pump, complete fuel pump assembly (within the last year $600 receipt), all water and heater hoses, coolant temp sensor, oil pressure sending unit, radiator, belts, tensioners, plugs, wires, front and rear shocks, rear main seal, transmission fluid and filter, power door lock switches and actuators for both doors, power mirror switches, key tumbler in column replaced and door locks rekeyed to match, steering column bearing, intermediate steering shaft, sway bar end links, window and mirror switches, intake manifold gaskets, transmission tail shaft seal and mount, all 4 oxygen sensors, and the a/c blend door. The entire shifter was replaced due to a broken tow/haul cable. The bottom of the driver's seat was rebuilt with new foam and a few panels were replaced with material that is almost a perfect match. My certified mechanic did all major repairs and most receipts are available. The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles using synthetic oil. The only real mechanical issue I ever had was with the differential. The rear end was completely rebuilt due to a bearing failure, so the gears and bearings are all brand new. There are no warning lights of any type on the dash. The ABS functions perfectly and even with the oversized wheels, the truck stops fine. The truck runs perfectly. It starts every time, has ice cold air, and is very reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. The motor is smooth, will idle all day in traffic without overheating, and doesn't burn oil. However, visually, it is not perfect. The dash has the typical cracks, but is hidden with the dash cover. The ac fan does not work on fan speed "1", all the rest of the fan speeds work fine. The interior is mostly clean but there are a few imperfections. The headliner is original and in good condition. I believe the truck has all original paint with the exception of the tailgate which doesn't shine very well. The clear on the hood, roof, and tops of doors is peeling. There are multiple dents, dings, and scratches, but nothing that is really that noticeable and it still looks very presentable. The front end rubber looks good, no missing bushings or anything. The lower steering shaft makes a clunk noise once intermittently, like I said before, I replaced the intermediate shaft as well as the steering column bearing. This has been a Florida truck its whole life and it shows, the floors, frame and suspension are all free of all that dreaded northern rust. The brake and fuel lines and floors are all perfect. There is one rust hole on the entire truck, it's on the left rocker and I don't know why or how but it is there, please see the photo. The vehicle history report shows only one accident. The truck was hit in a parking lot, the dent is still there behind the right rear wheel there is a dent the size of a fist, right in front of the rear bumper, please see photo. This was the last model before they overcomplicated them. There are so many LS powered trucks and SUVs that share this same drive train which go over 400k miles. No worries about displacement on demand lifter failure or 8 speed transmission go out when the warranty is up. These trucks were the last of the good ones. I would love to keep it but I have a growing family and need a Tahoe. Please contact me for more info or photos or videos. If you're local you're welcome to test drive. If from out of state, fly into TPA or PIE airport, I will pick you up and you can drive it home. ***This truck is inland, stored in an area that is high and dry. No flood damage or issues from the recent hurricanes that hit Florida.
