Description: Offered is this round gold-colored metal pin decorated with blue and green enamel, given by the Pure Oil Co. as a 20 year safe driver award. The pin comes with its original cardboard holder and was made by the L. G. Balfour Co. of Attleboro, Massachusetts. I don't know when the piece was made but Balfour was in business in Attleboro from 1913 until it merged and moved in 1996. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find another Pure Oil safe driver award pinback for sale on eBay except for the others I have in my store. The pin is approx. 5/8" in diameter. It is in excellent condition, with no damage. The threaded backing piece turns properly. The cardboard holder has browned and has some small spots, etc. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
