Description: Offered here for your consideration is a group of two Mid-Century Modern aluminum sculptures by William D. King (1925-2015) of acrobats. Entitled: Event and The Test. Dating to the 1970's. These interlocking aluminum sculptures were part of a series, which was sold principally in museum gift shops in the 1960s-1970s during King's solo exhibitions. King attended Cooper Union and was widely known for public sculpture. His long and successful career included countless solo exhibitions and his work is held in many important private and public collections including the Whitney, Guggenheim, MoMA, and Smithsonian. This group is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with noticeable scratches (It is the collector's prerogative whether to polish these out or not), some very light edge wear, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.
