Description: I am the original owner of this pair of early 1990's Wharfedale Modus Cubes with the rotatable tweeter. They were part of the 6 speaker Wharfedale home theater system with a center speaker and passive subwoofer bought at a Florida Brandsmart store. I sold 2 of the modus and the sub/center in prior years.. Haven't used them much recently but I tested them and they sound fine for use as front/rear surrounds or as main front speakers used with a center speaker and subwoofer. They are designed to be used with a subwoofer as their frequency response is mid to high and not the lower range for bass. There are no scruffs, scratches or otherwise imperfections on the speaker enclosures. Please note that the spring loaded connectors on the back were removed as they did deteriorate over the years. I have used a banana plug inserted into the openings for the connections as a temporary fix. I do not have the tech knowledge for a permanent solder type fix with new connectors so the buyer could do this or just leave as is. Please note that as a buyer you fully understand these conditions. Note that 2 photos show the speaker tweeters glowing their distinctive red as they do at loud volumes or explosive sound effects. last 4pics show felt tabs added my me for resting on my console and them sitting pretty atop a pair of Klipsch floor speakers.
