2 Vintage Storkline Baby Carriages Furniture Signs Chicago

Description: Offering 2 vintage Storkline Juvenile, Infant Furniture and Baby Carriages thick cardboard advertising signs. From Storkline Furniture Co, Chicago, Illinois. Signs were designed to be hung from a string on top in the center going through 2 holes, or to stand on a table. Has 2 foldable cardboard supports on back and the lower 1 1/4" bottom edge has a crease. Think that was made to be folded under sign to help support it when it was displayed. Large stork on top of sign has a cardboard support which interlocks with base of sign and holds the rear of the stork 3" out from the sign. The front of the stork is glued to the sign. Rear tail feathers of stork have some wear as we tried to show in pictures. Exact age of this sign is unknown. Appears to be from the late 1940's, 1950's or early 1960's. Measures 23 1/2" wide(side to side) at its widest point, 32" tall and the cardboard is 3/32" thick. Signs were found laying in the open in an old time hardware/furniture/general store. Appear to be unused or in only slightly used. Have some mild discoloration and markings. One sign is complete and in good condition, the other has some concerns - the stork has become unglued and the cardboard stork support is broken off.
