Description: Two vintage all original 1960's very rare and hard to find apothecary pharmacy pharmaceutical promo promotional advertising items. One 4" tall very heavy metal (brass or bronze ?) mortar and pestle. The 6" long pestle is embossed "Coricidin" on one side as pictured. The mortar is embossed marked "Pharmacy Class, 1967, Secundum Artem, RX" with raised diploma and graduation cap graphics. The bottom is stamped "Schering" One ceramic, china or porcelain mortar and pestle ashtray. The ash tray mortar measures 2 1/4" tall by 4 1/2" in diameter without the spout included in that measurement. The pestle is marked "MSD" and is 3 3/4" long. The mortar reads "The Good Things Of Life Are Not To Be Had Singly But Come To Us With A Mixture - Charles Lamb". The protective cork bottom is marked "Merck Sharp & Dohme, MSD". The mortar ashtray has great apothecary graphics in blue/green as pictured. The items are from the estate of a PCPS PCP & S Philadelphia College Of Pharmacy and Science professor. They beautifully and both are in very good to excellent condition. They are sold as is and as pictured with returns not accepted. $20.00 USPS or FedEx postage.
