2 vintage 1940's PUMPKIN small Bowls & Lids ceramic & porcelain Occupied Japan

Description: 2 older vintage 1940's ceramic & porcelain Fall PUMPKIN or TOMATO small decorative Bowls with fitted Lids, colorful red/orange figurines for kitchen ~ home decor. A set of two small pumpkin and/or tomato bowls with lids. One made of ceramic and the other porcelain. These original mid-20th century pieces were crafted in Japan and feature a vibrant red and orange color perfect for the autumn season. Ideal for serving small portions, jams, sugar, salsas or as decorative accents. I couldn't decide if they are supposed to be pumpkins or tomatoes. Both are hand-painted. The only issue is the smaller pumpkin's lid does have a small chip on one of the green leaves, but does not take away from this vintage piece (see the picture). Other than that chip the rest of each bowl and lid are in great condition.Includes:The larger pumpkin is ceramic and marked "Made in Occupied Japan" on its bottom. Measurements: 4" high x 5" diameterThe smaller pumpkin is porcelain and I can't make out the manufacture mark on its bottom, it is worn somewhat. Measurements: 2.75" high x 3.5" diameter (this bowl does have some slight orange paint wear near the bottom but not very noticeable when sitting on flat surface. You can see these imperfections in the photo of its bottom along with the larger pumpkins bottom.) CARE AND CLEANING: PAINT ON VINTAGE FIGURINES IS FRAGILE. DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER.
