Then ran the wire from the outlet to a hook in the ceiling and down to the fixture. See pics by the bed. Saved me a lot of install work and money and still looks good. Kinda industrial minimalist. I also used a chorded dimmer that you plug into the wall and plug the unit into the dimmer plug. It has a wire to the dimmer control that you can mount anywhere.
