Description: 2 SMALL TOY AMERICAN OLD SINGLE SHOT COWBOY CAP PISTOLS ~1 WITH HOLSTER 2 DIFFERENT (A PAIR) SMALL TOY AMERICAN OLD SINGLE SHOT COWBOY CAP PISTOLS ~ 1 WITH ORIGINAL LEATHER HOLSTER This is a pair (2) of small, Old American single shot CAP GUNS, 1 with original leather holster. Both guns work properly. #1 is a single shot cast iron cap gun by Stevens, Circa 1935. It is 3 1/2" long Marked MADE IN THE USA on the right side, and COWBOY on the left side, en suite with the "let'er buck" cowboy riding a bucking bronco on the holster marked "THE WILD WEST". This cap gun is listed as C24.2.1 page 39 of the Cast Iron Toy Guns and Capshooter book. The holster snap works properly and has a belt slot on the back. Both the cap gun and holster are in excellent, original, untouched condition. #2 is a Colt Single Action single shot cap gun, 3 5/16" long, die cast from pot metal, with excellent detail, including steer head grips on both sides. There is a tiny brass pin in the lower frame, when pushed forward from the back to the front, releases the barrel & cylinder and allows a round cap to be placed at the back of the cylinder. Then, replace the barrel / cylinder to its original position, and push the tiny brass pin from the front to the back to secure the barrel & cylinder to the frame. Then, pull back the spring-loaded hammer to burst the cap; there is no working trigger. Note: the cap chamber at the rear of the cylinder shows no wear, and may not have ever fired a cap. However, as is typical, the tiny brass pin easily slides in and out. This pin can be slightly bent to inhibit the pin from moving, and thus, make the two pieces more secure when the pin is in the closed position. However, I have left this in untouched condition. Maker unknown, circa 1950's or so.
