They commemorate the first flights by Japan Air Lines Service between Tokyo and Sao Paulo, Brazil and between Sao Paulo and Tokyo. The envelopes are standard size (3¾" x 6½") and printed on rice paper, with Japan Air Lines par avion air mail stickers in the lower corner. One was mailed from Tokyo and is addresed to Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd., Poste Restante (General Delivery), Sao Paulo. The other was mailed from Sao Paulo and is addresed to Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd., Poste Restante (General Delivery), Tokyo. Condition: The Tokyo-to-Sao Paulo cover has an old water stain at the right edge (and on the back). Otherwise, both in fine shape, with no rips, tears, or writing.
