I try to offer free shipping on some of my items under & some times over a pound, but that does not mean it is free or really any cheaper for me to ship, To ship a package just went from $2.70 for 4 oz's to over $3.80 for the same 4 oz's. And prices are way higher from the East coast to the west. Since ebay got rid of paypal. They went from 10% to 13 to 15% A maybe higher. The little I used to save in shipping coast was used to buy my paper & ink. Not any more. It is now being sucked up by ebay & shipping. I do not know how much longer I will be able to sell.
