Description: Photos are in very good condition with some imperfections in photo prints as would be expected from age and being in storage. Colors are vibrant. These have been in the family for most if not all their lives and as far as we know they have not been displayed or exposed to light for any extensive amount of time. Comes from a smoke-free home. Color photos are mounted on backer with label stamped United Photos 1350 Guerrero St, San Francisco, Calif. Backers are yellowed and show damage around edges but appear to have been successful in protecting the photos. Photos are ready to be properly framed. Back of Photos are tack glued to backer board so a look at the back of photo reveals no development clues as it is plain photo paper (ie; no Kodak paper or other clue on how these were developed. ) The address of the photo shop is now a residential home so its hard to say how unique these prints are but they do seem to have come from a private photographer which could mean they are rare. Photos are 10"x13" Backer boards are approx 13.5"x16.5" This Essex-class aircraft carrier was commmissioned in 1944 serving in the final campaigns of WWII Pacific Theater of Operations. She went on to serve in the Korean War where she earned five battle stars, and the vietnam War. She was decommissioned in 1971 and scrapped in 1992. I may be willing to sell each print individually so if interested, make me an offer. Shipping in a cardboard box with styrofoam and/or foam padding via USPS Ground.
