This is a stated first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Avon Books in 1965. This is a vintage paperback edition with the rounded corners as shown and is in exceptional condition especially for a mass paperback published fifty-nine years ago. The spine has no creasing whatsoever and the two spine ends as well as the rounded corners are in excellent condition as shown in the photos provided. A nicer copy would be hard to find. Collectors of vintage paperbacks understand that these editions were published without using the very best paper or glue available and so the fact that these gems even exist today is the appeal. They were usually purchased, read, maybe finished, and often simply tossed or left on a plane or commuter train and forgotten about. Collectors will leave it in its protective archival sleeve and display it proudly upon its shelf. If removed it is done so lovingly.
