In the porcelain. You get what you see in the photos, please take a good look, this is an exquisite piece! Condition: Doll is in very good condition for its age. The doll clothing is in very good shape but may have a few stains over the years. The porcelain on the doll is in great shape with no cracks or chips on head. The forearms and hands are also porcelain, which are in good condition other than minimal chipping to the fingers on both hands. The hair is separated from the head of the doll very easy to glue/put back on during repair. Measurements: Approximately 23 inches tall from the feet of the doll to the top of the forehead
