Description: Absolutely incredible antique French hand-painted antique jewelry box (jewelry casket) with beveled glass. I am guessing this piec is from the mid 1800's These boxes were originally meant for the bride to keep her bridal belongings such as the tiara she used on her wedding day. The details on this piece are stunning- an amazingly beautiful and unique one of a kind piece. What makes this box extraordinary rare is the handpainted floral pattern. Original lining- see pics for some flaws, consistent with age. Approx 7" x 7" x 4.5" Please refer to pics and reach out with any questions. Not sure if this is ormulu or not. Some of what I have read online indicates that it might be based on texture/age, but I am not an antiques expert, so cannot specify for certain.
