Description: Our client's exceptional antique (late 19th to early 20th century) rectangular center table in the French Louis XVI style features an exceptional terrazzo marble top and finely cast ormolu bronze mounts, including inset panels on frieze on front and reverse depicting frolicking putti, flanked by guilloche-like waves with bellflowers and repeated on the sides, plus rosettes at the corners, twisted berry vines at the corners of the legs and square spade feet. Apparently unsigned. Designed and constructed of the highest quality, comparable to the works of the leading Parisien ebenistes such as Paul Sormani and Francois Linke.In good condition. Scuffs, scratches and rubbing wear to the wooden and marble surfaces.
