The Laborers for Christ, an organization of retired contractors, carpenters and volunteers who volunteer their retirement time to help build churches, schools and social ministry organizations for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, have been helping build a new gymnasium and classrooms for Salem Lutheran Church School in Gretna. The work began February 4 and should be completed by the end of May. It is the 403rd project that the Laborers for Christ have built. The volunteers and members of Laborers for Christ come from all over the country and are staying in RVs near the school site. They are adding onto the existing school structure.
