Description: 1992 THE ART OF DISNEYLAND Exhibit Poster~SIGNED by Imagineer Phil Mendez~~Disneyland / The Disney Gallery~~Extremely rare lithograph on heavyweight paper. 36" X 24"~The poster was produced by Disneyland in 1992 for the Disney Gallery located above Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square. It displays a painting titledDumbo's Circus Elephants and is signed and dated at the lower right by Imagineer Phil Mendez, who created the original art in 1976 for a proposed Disney park attraction based on the animated feature Dumbo. The Disney Galleryopened in 1987 to display the art, designs, and models created in development of Disneyland. Throughout the 1980s-90s, the gallery produced prints and posters of art by Disney Imagineers and held signing events for the artists. Phil Mendez was an imagineer at WED Enterprises ( later Walt Disney Imagineering) for five years in the 1970s.Overall the poster is in very good condition but does have some visible light dot marks/stains on the bottom right corner.
