Engaging in this work domestically at first, Daniel was eventually offered by the Australian government to the GI Joe team, what with the threat of Cobra terrorism becoming more and more prevalent of late. This way, he could take the fight against them global! And that Daniel did. Working as the GI Joe operative Skymate, he has joined the team's elite Air Commandos, and engages in all manner of actions against Cobra, whether from the air in his high tech glider or on the ground using his deadly, special weaponry. With his special SAS training as well as his expertise in unconventional, silent weaponry, Skymate has proven his mettle in the war against Cobra's terrorist activities, and did so with the GI Joe team until it was temporarily disbanded at the end of 1994. After this point, Skymate presumably returned to Australia, where he continued to serve in his own military. The man likely instructed his fellows on Cobra (and other terrorist) tactics, and helped strengthen his nation against the activities of such organizations. Skymate wasn't seen alongside the GI Joe team again until it's last documented action against Cobra, during World War III itself. This conflict, which Cobra instigated in an effort to conquer the entire planet at once, was one that ultimately saw that group's downfall. Skymate himself fought alongside several other Joes in England to ward off Cobra's advance there. AIR COMMANDO GLIDER The glider still has vibrant colors and the writing and symbols have not worn off. Nothing has been glued and nothing appears to be torn. The nosecone is present and intact, the clip that holds Skymate is intact and in good condition as well as the two footpegs, the silver quad cannon (also came with a dual green machine gun on top sometimes) is present and intact. Overall, I doubt you will find a Glider in better condition around that is not MOC. The Air Commandos Glider is a simple, basic glider that was adopted by the Joe team for use in missions where air support is required, but powered vehicles are simply not available - or not an option. Of course, this glider can also be utilized for emergency air insertions or other missions where stealth is key. The Air Commandos Glider can be used to soar at about ninety miles per hour, though this is rarely along a horizontal path. This is because, like all gliders, the Air Commandos Glider loses three stories of altitude for each six areas traveled forward. Of course, the wielder of the glider can maintain (or gain) altitude by using thermals. The glider itself is a long, wide affair, covered in one of three patterns - green and blue camouflage, black and green camouflage, or red, white and blue, depending on its pilot. Also, like its Cobra counterparts, the Air Commandos glider is equipped with two rapid-fire, 30mm cannons in the control rig that can be fired to inflict excellent damage per deadly burst - but have only a few turns worth of ammunition. Furthermore, the glider's harness is constructed so that the pilot can fly it one handed, and fire a personal weapon with his other hand, however.
