Description: Tyrone Bogues is a retired professional basketball player who is best known for his time with the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA. He played point guard and is considered one of the best to ever play the position despite being one of the shortest players in NBA history at 5'3". Bogues was drafted 12th overall by the Washington Bullets in the 1987 NBA Draft and went on to play for the Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, and Toronto Raptors. He was a four-time NBA All-Star, and while his career he averaged 7.7 points, 7.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Bogues was known for his quickness and ability to get in the passing lanes to create steals and turnovers. He was also known for his ability to play above his height and his leadership on the court. After retirement, he was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
