1988-89 Air Jordan IV 4 Nike Air Flight Salesman's Catalog Very Rare Pre-Release

Description: This is an extremely rare pre-release advertisement catalog for the iconic Jordan 4IV. Printed in September of 1988 intended for district sales office from Nike corporate headquarters. Included in the pictures is a screenshot from Worthpoint.com. from what I can tell only three have ever been sold. Item is in great shape but does have flaws such dinged corners. On the back where the black Nike logo is I cannot tell if the paper is scratched or if it is remnants of some sort of dried adhesive or sticker. I will leave it up to the new owner to decide. You are looking at an authentic Nike Salesman's brochure from 1988-89. The brochure was used as a sales tool between Nike reps and top retail brass. Obviously, there was no internet, email, cell phones, and this was the premium sales tool Nike would use to get retailers to commit to carrying the latest Nike, or in this case Air Jordan lines. The shoe featured in this brochure is one of Jordan Brands most iconic silhouettes: The Air Jordan 4 IV. This was the first time "Flight" was used on Jordan Merchandise and this brochure would have been the first public reveal of the branding. At the time Air Jordan's were not instant sell out products and these brochures helped convince execs at Foot Locker and Finishline of the sales potential of Jordan Brand. As your research nodoubt (and as it was confirmed to me by Nike) showed this material was produced in highly limited quantity as only a few people nationwide ever saw them let alone would have thought to keep them. I spoke to reps from Nike for over an hour and Nike has confirmed production and use of this item. The back jacket of the piece does have a folder that contained contracts for purchase. The contract (of course) is not included. Nike currently does not have this piece in their collection and they have demonstrated interest in the piece.
