The beams and Timbers of the church roof as as pointing fingers, leading the viewers eye directly to the top It's as though the builders and parishioners of the Unitarian Church North, near Cedarburg, wanted to call attention to the view at the top- forcing viewers to lift their eyes toward the bleak, wintry heavens and see that the sun still shines. The church is being constructed in the octagonal shape of many old barns that were built in Ozaukee Country by German carpenter Ernst Clausing during the late 1800s. Only a few of those barns remain today- one of them standing directly across the street from the new church Brent A Smith, minister for the congregation, said the eight-sided building's shape complements his congregation's electric faith.
