Description: MONGOOSE ATB Men's Bike 26" Wheels 22" Frame - FULL CHROME Great looking early Mongoose mountain bike - 1987 model ATB 22" chromoly tube frameset built in November,1986 at Mongoose's Merida plant in Taiwan. Serial number on front frame post - see pic #2. All original components with the exception of seat stem, tires/tubes and addition of bar ends. Seat post replaced with a Post Moderne part and tires are blackwall Kenda trail tires. All components have been rough cleaned and inspected and all are in working condition. Most decals intact. This was going to be my city bike but I've come to the realization that this size frame is too large for my 5'7" height. Bike weighs in today at 29.5lbs and ground to top of crossbar is 34". Due to age, the tires/tubes should definitely be replaced. Cables and brake pads appear to be in good condition. Chain rings, chain, cassette and pulleys in very good condition. Shift controls operate as expected. No bearing play. If any questions or need additional pics, please contact me and I'll attempt to assist. Very good used condition - minimal cosmetic defects - limited to very light scuffs and scratches. No heavy scratches or repairs. Chrome has some pinpoint pitting and light surface rust in nooks and crannies. Nothing that presents a long term problem. Please see all pictures for full condition detail.
