Description: 1984 LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS MAP OFFICIAL MAP TO THE EVENTS OF THE XXIIIrd OLYMPIAD (Please scroll down for detailed condition notes below) HARDER-TO-FIND VERY REASONABLE PRICE ABOUT THE MAP: This wonderful map was created and published by Gousha, the official map licensee of the XXIII Olympiad ? the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games of 1984. Folded, the map measures approximately 10 ½ inches high by 6 inches wide. Opened, the map measures approx 35 inches wide by 21 inches high. The open map displays Southern California with the location of each of the Olympic events, which were held throughout the area at different venues. The map bears the official Olympic logo as well as the logo of the XXIIIrd games and states: ?GAMES OF THE XXIIIrd Olympiad Los Angeles 1984.? The reverse, in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese talks about the Los Angeles Olympics and provides smaller maps of each of the venues (baseball, basketball, archery, gymnastics, cycling, equestrian, football, etc.) In addition there is a venue-to-venue distance chart. This is truly a great find for collectors of obscure Olympics or sports memorabilia (or different kinds of maps for that matter!) CONDITION: This map was published and distributed in 1984 and is in very good condition, especially considering its 38 years. It has sat in a file for the past 38 years. There is some minor creasing and some edge discoloration to the outside (nothing too major). One very tiny edge tear. The main map inside is in excellent shape ? no marks, stains, tears. This would make a wonderful and unique Olympics souvenir.
