Description: 1982 Louis Poulsen Nyhavn Wall Sconce Alfred Homann & Ole V. Kjær for Louis Poulsen, wall lamps model ‘Nyhavn’, copper, Denmark, design 1976 The ‘Nyhavn’ wall lamp by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær was designed in 1976. It won a prize in a competition organized by Louis Poulsen. It focused on lamp designs for historic areas. The design of the ‘Nyhavn’ is characterized by its industrial look. A flat cone shaped shade surrounds the light source. The cone is attached to three anti-glare rings above. With a round wall fixture the lamp is attached to the wall. Due to the thought-through design, the light partition is soft and warm. It can be used indoors or in outside spaces. Price is per light. I have a 7 of these available. Inquire for a bundled price or shipping quote! Dimensions are in the pictures. They were used inside of a commercial setting, so they are UL listed, have ballasts from 120v to 270v, dimmable, and suitable for indoor or outdoor wet locations. Since they were used inside there is VERY little patina for their age and look as new as modern day versions. They come with solid copper mounting box covers. They take 4 pin CFL bulbs which are readily available in all color temperatures at any hardware store. The beauty of this design makes it flexible to be used in indoor or outdoor settings seamlessly. Always happy to send additional pictures or answer any questions you may have.
