For New Orleanian La Keisha Gay, the break into the movies was accomplished within a matter of weeks after her arrival in Los Angeles last summer. But it really wasn't the lure of the silver screen that took her to California at all. The New Orleans native, who'd been working here as a reserve police officer, had gone west to enroll in the videotape commercial workshop at Pamela Campus Casting, and had "just about finish school" when she was hired for the movie "Penitentiary II," starring Leon Isaac Kennedy and Gylnn Turman.
