See the story below...... 1981 was the first year for the Donruss Gum Company to produce and distribute Baseball cards to kids and adult collectors in the United States. For the most part, I think Donruss did a really good job for their first year in producing cards. We were all excited to be able to collect both Donruss and Fleer baseball cards in addition to the usual issues from Topps. We opened tons of Donruss gum packs back in 1981 to make complete sets as Donruss only sold gum packs and no factory made sets. In the process of opening packs we found these "wrong back" cards. The player picture on the front of the card does not match up with player stats on the back. Thus you have a "wrong back" card. These "mistake cards" are considered "fairly rare" and we only found 26 cards in the thousands of packs we opened back in 1981. Putting these "1981 Donruss Mistake" cards on Ebay to make available to "Wrong back Collectors". This vintage Baseball card is graded as Near Mint or better and is centered as pictured.
