They are all animal figures, very fine and detailed. While over time, the thin layer of gold can wear away and require replating. 2) Additionally, electroplated gold is not as valuable of an investment as real gold (24K) because it can fade over time with wear and tear. However, that said, these crystal animals were in a showcase, not handled and look the same as the day I bought them 40+ years ago.
