Description: I'm listing this transmission for someone else. This was from a 1978 Mustang King Cobra that was torn down to be restored and never finished, and it was purchased for another project that never happened. This is the harder to find V8 version and was from a 1978 Mustang Cobra with a V8 5.0L (302). The tag on the side is stamped RAD-W which is a 1978 5.0L (302) V8, so one would assume it was the original transmission to the car. I decoded the tag, and it shows the ratios as follows 1st - 2.64, 2nd - 1.89, 3rd - 1.34, 4th - 1.0 and reverse is 2.56. The shifter to transmission bolts were lost. The oil is of course drained for shipping reasons. I also cleaned it up a bit for shipping as well, as it had a bunch of overspray undercoating on it. I set the shifter in place and hand spun it through all the gears with no issues. These are the actual items that will be shipped. These are not stock photos. Please verify they will fit your needs and application prior to purchasing. You are buying it to own it, not to try it out. This is already packed and boxed for shipping.
