Description: Travel back in time with this c. 1976 E.R. Pfretzschner violin. With a 14'' body and 23-1/2'' scale length, it is a 4/4, full-size violin. A second label identifies it as Roth Shop Adjusted. Two-piece vibrant flame maple back. Flame maple sides. Spruce top. Maple neck. Four fine tuners. Tuners are stamped "PATENT GERMANY." Cosmetically, the violin looks quite good. Some hardly visible lacquer checking on the top and back. Nicks here and there on the top, but overall it looks very good. Functionally, it plays. The pegs and peg holes are in good round. It comes with a bow that is stamped Trade * Mark and Nippon by the frog. It is fully haired. It comes in a modern molded plastic case. The handle, latches, and hinges all work. It's a good violin, ready to go. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 32"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
