Description: Published by Island Heritage in 1976 as part of a 14-Vol Limited Set titled, The Hawaiian Bicentennial Library. This is Volume XI of this set. 5000 copies of this set were published, this volume is part of the set numbered 1935, and is FLAT SIGNED BY AUTHOR TERRANCE BARROW ON THE LIMITATION PAGE - see listing photo. The book is in GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION. I believe these are faux leather and not real leather boards. The gilt on the front board is faded, but not on spine. Board edges and corners with light wear, but the bottom spine has a tiny piece missing where it would meet the front board - see the listing photo of the front board. Pictorial endpapers, very solidly bound with no markings other than the author signature in 202 clean and solidly bound pages. Page edges are gilt with a few scratches on the gilt. There is a blue ribbon. Finally, the pages a faint amount of age-toning around the edges. A brief overview found in another listing of this book: "This book is a well arranged collection of mostly first hand accounts of Cook's trips to Hawaii -- including his final, fatal one. It's taken from Cook's own journals, and the writings of just about all of his officers, scientists, as well as every sailor with him, who kept a journal." B127
