Farrell is an English-Irish novelist who wrote other novels on the human consequences of British colonialism, including Troubles (1970) and The Singapore Grip (1978).Includes undated prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper. CONDITION In original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. There is some minor wear to the extremities of the dust wrapper. There is some very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. There is slight spotting to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the exception of the occasional spot to the endpapers. Includes undated prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper.
