Description: This 1973 Hot Wheels Redline Oldsmobile Police Cruiser 442 is a must-have for any diecast car collector! The white car with red and black detailing looks authentic and is perfect for display. The opening hood and employee car design make it a unique addition to any collection. The Hot Wheels Redlines series is known for its attention to detail and this model is no exception. It is a great representation of a classic car from the 1970s. This item is perfect for anyone who loves vintage cars or is a fan of Hot Wheels. This car came from to me in the employee collection, not put together. A hinge and crimp mechanism that make the car rotate up does not seem to be damaged. OK, so this collection was purchased out of a Texas estate sale probably eight years ago or so. I found the listing online and recognize some excellent red lines and Rrrumblers. As I dug through the sale pictures, I realized that there was a number of employee badges, pins, and employee specific memorabilia. I ended up doing some digging and found the woman pictured below who worked at Mattel whose Estate it was. The salesman display case was in the sales as well. However, the company running the sale did not want to ship it. The only provenance I have is the picture from the estate sale and the women’s picture while working at Mattel. But this is 100% accurate and impossible to replicate. I don’t think these cars have any difference from the one sold in store however it’s a cool story.
