Description: 1972 HOUSTON ASTROSADV 20 Card Team SetStrat-O-Matic Baseball(20 Cards Only, No Additional Players, No Game Parts) by Strat-O-Matic, Glen Head, NY(1973)Woo-hoo! This is the GOOD STUFF! These are the ORIGINAL release cards, in light blue printing (Advanced side), set up for Basic & Advanced play only! This 20 card roster Strat Baseball team is in Very Good to Excellent condition, inventoried, sorted, & complete! They do have obvious signs of wear but they are tested, rested, & ready to play again! This is a GREAT player's set! 1. 7 of the 8 pitchers have an ink pen number next to their name on the Basic side. Only Dierker does not. No game data affected whatsoever. 2. Cedeno, Rader, Reuss, Wilson, Miller, & Fenwick all have spots. Reuss has them on his Advanced side at 5-3 through 5-5 vs. LHB, 6-4 & 6-9 vs. RHB along with several near misses. Wilson has it at 6-10 vs. LHB & an off data one below his 5 column data vs. RHB. Rader has it on 5-10 through 5-12 vs. LHB along with a diagonal crease on the Basic side that goes from 1-9 through 3-12. Cedeno, Miller, & Fenwick all have near misses. Cedeno also has a very small crease on the top right corner & the erased pencil numbers at the top of his Basic side. All game data on all of these cards is easily legible & highly playable. 3. Metzger has a crease at the bottom of his Basic side that touched 3-11 & 3-12 vs. RHP on the Advanced . All game data is easily legible & highly playable. His Basic side is data perfect. 4. Much Ado About Nothing: Watson has 2 faint off data pen lines. The first line starts at "Bob" & goes down through "Houston". The second goes above his position & through "stealing." No game data affected whatsoever. His Advanced side is data perfect. There are 13 cards in Very Good condition with the remaining 7 in Excellent condition. These were printer cut & hand collated cards produced by Strat-O-Matic before going to the perforated, tear-'em & sort-'em yourself format. Although they do show minor signs of wear, they are in awesome condition for being 49 years old!!! They are rested, tested & ready to play again. This is a GREAT PLAYER's set!
