1972-73 Topps Basketball #242 Rick Barry Auto Signed ABA Champ Game #4 PSA/DNA

Description: You are looking at a 1972-73 Topps Basketball #244 1971/72 ABA Championship Series Game #4 card featuring Rick Barry. This card and has been signed by Rick on the front in blue sharpie. I originally acquired this auto in a lot of mostly 1970s basketball card autographs approximately three years ago. Many of the autos were covered by an auction LOA and a small percentage of the cards were already encapsulated. This is one of the cards encapsulated by PSA and deemed as having an authentic autograph by PSA/DNA. I admire people who undertake to put together the ABA/NBA auto sets of the early 1970s because there are so many tough autographs from players that weren't around the game for but a couple of seasons, then sometimes became very difficult to find or obtain before their passing. In this particular set, there are quite a few cards featuring ABA - and as of 1972 NBA - scoring sensation Rick Barry. In putting together signed basketball sets over the years, I sometimes find cards of stars that are not the star player's primary player card can be tough to find autographed. This card boasts a somewhat vintage blue sharpie autograph of Barry. Barry has been known to personalize everything unless you are getting his autograph at a paid signing appearance in recent years. Many years ago, he was a generally responsive signer. Please take a look at the scans for condition.
