Description: Up for sale is a vintage Omega Genève, reference 136.070, featuring the renowned Caliber 613 manual wind movement with date complication. This movement is part of Omega's celebrated family of calibers, including the 550, 551, 552, 560, 561, 563, 564, 565, and 752, which are widely regarded as some of the best movements Omega ever produced. The 32 million serial number dates this watch to approximately 1970. The overall condition of this timepiece is truly stunning and it is one of the best examples I’ve encountered, with light wear here and there but nothing detracting from its vintage appeal. The watch appears to be all original, adding to its desirability. The original dial is in mint condition and features an unusual and eye-catching vertical brush pattern which is a rare find. There is some light tarnishing visible on the hands, consistent with the watch's age. Additionally, there is some dried gasket material and minor corrosion visible in the photo of the movement around the edge of the gasket area. Most of the old gasket material has been removed, and a new gasket has already been installed. The remaining dried on material can be easily cleaned during a future service. The movement runs strong and keeps time well, though as with any vintage watch, a service is recommended for optimal long-term performance. This Omega Genève is a classic example of timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship.
