Description: Handsome fold-out 1970 Conoco road map of Wyoming, printed more than 50 years ago. This map opens to 18" x 23" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. There are inset plans of Sheridan, Laramie, Casper, Cheyenne, and Yellowstone National Park. The map was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1970 to promote its Conoco brand. It is dated in the legend, and the code number in the lower margin is 8-RR. The attractive scenic front-cover photograph shows a father and son fishing on one of the state's rivers. Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used condition, with a faint oil stain in the upper corner of the back cover and no rips, tears, or writing.
