Description: 1969 Vintage Press Photo by UNITED PRESS VIA NASA.In a maneuver scheduled fro Nov. 21st, the Apollo 12 command module, Yankee Clipper, will break out of the grasp of lunar gravity and head back toward earth with astronauts Charles Conrad Jr., Alan L. Bean and Richard F. Gordon aboard. The cone-shaped command module is scheduled to splash down in the Pacific near the Samoan Islands about 4 PM (EST) Nov. 24th. The aircraft carrier Hornet will be on hand to retrieved the spacemen and their precious cargo of moon sample. Then, the space trio will be quarantined .
