Description: DESCRIPTION OEM 1967-68 Mopar 383 / 440 Unsilenced Air Cleaner. This is an original 1967 A-body / early 68 383/440 big block air cleaner assembly that has been refinished in wrinkle black to present a period correct image . It has been refinished to match the early 68 B-body cars and features the 90 degree nipple on the driver's (LH) side. The "FRONT" impression is visible through the wrinkle paint and helps to orient the assembly for installation as the factory had intended. The exterior features a reproduction 67-68 Mopar Air Cleaner Service Decal. The wrinkle finish presents very nicely on the top. The base is an OEM 68 up featuring the 5 1/8" flange that fits the later model Carter/Holley/Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetors. To complete the assembly, a new heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included. A "Made in Canada" stamp has been added to the base as a nice finishing touch. The wrinkle finish is very nice as well. The assembly comes with a new 383 Commando pie pan - correct for the 67-68 Plymouth Barracuda models. It can also be used on the Dart GT/GTS models until a 383 Four Barrel pie pan could be sourced (not included). Since the pie pans have been phased out, these are more difficult to find, as well as expensive. This assembly is in very nice condition and will enhance your restoration. APPLICATIONS This assembly is image period for the following 1967-68 383 / 440 CID models with CAP:Dodge*Coronet R/T, Dart GT/GTSPlymouthSport Fury, GTX, 'Cuda 383/440*these models featured the Magnum pie pan (not included).It will also fit a myriad of 62-68 models with 4 barrel engines, but is only technically/visually correct for 1967-68 models.FITMENTThe assembly will fit 4 barrel carburetors (Thermoquad, Carter AVS) with a 5 1/8" diameter flange, as well as most aftermarket models (i.e. Holley, Edelbrock, Demon, etc..) with the same flange size. If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct.
