Description: 1966 Vintage Gi Joe Action Soldier GREEN BERET Excellent example of this highly popular figure. The figure itself is a 1966 production figure, I've enclosed a picture of the stamp on the figure to show this. 1966 was when the Green Beret figure was introduced. This lot includes the brown boots and jungle fatigue set. The uniform is complete with all external buttons present on the jacket. The jacket is missing the female side of the snap on the top closure. The original beret is in very good shape with a full decal present. The camouflaged neck scarf is complete with no tears or runs and has both snaps. The M-16 Rifle is complete with the original elastic sling which has come unsewn at the top loop. The .45 pistol and holster are complete. The radio is complete with both the headset and the morse code key and wires. The lid opens and closes and has the internal paper instrument panel. One of the top hinges is missing its pin, but this doesn't affect its operation. There seems to be some light grey or silver overspray on the front of the radio which can be seen in the picture. The pistol belt appears to be the wrong belt, although it is a GI Joe belt. The only thing missing from the original set are the grenades. The uniform, rifle, radio and beret are all marked Japan. A really complete version of this highly desirable set.This came in the last lot of GI Joe items we got in.
