Description: vintage 1965 Silvertone 1413L in decent playing condition, and great cosmetic shapeMarch 1965 date stamped in the bodythis guitar was pulled from the trunk of a '50s Cadillac in a junkyard, then hung on a wall for decades until it was rescued from a yard sale a few years agothe neck was bowed and twisted and the guitar was unplayable - a luthier who specializes in vintage Kays put it into a jig for the better part of a year to bring it back up to playable shapetruly a miraculous restoration! the neck is now perfectly comfortable, decently playable, and also great for slide. not perfect, but it feels and sounds good to me! still a very very slight/occasional buzz around the 12th fret on the low E that i'm sure could be worked out with some more adjustments. the pickup sounds fantastic, the luthier remarked it is the best sounding 1413 pickup he's heardthe truss rod cover was missing so he cut a replacementi have a non original, but very cool bridge cover i can throw on if you're interestedthe knobs are not original but period correct and certainly very close, if not from another old kaypacked, shipped, and insured with UPS
