1963/1962 NEW YORK license plates – ONONDAGA CO – ORIGINAL vintage auto car tags

Description: Here are a pair of 1962 base NEW YORK passenger license plates, from ONONDAGA COUNTY (Syracuse and vicinity) in central NY, with black validation tab on one for 1963. Steel plates use a golden yellow base with black embossed lettering. 100% original paint, with no touch-ups. CAN PURCHASE INDIVIDUALLY OR AS A PAIR (save 10% when you purchase the pair). Plates are STRAIGHT and lie COMPLETELY FLAT, with no bends and no tears to metal. Paint is STRONG, with still excellent gloss, though some has peeled away and there are numerous chips, as shown (paint on NY plates from this era did NOT wear well). Bottom plate (without tab) is in noticeably better shape. Some rust stains to metal and paint on each, and top plate has two extra holes, one each near center of left and right halves. Plates can easily be remounted on wall or other flat surface. Good candidates for restoration. Please, check out all the attached photos for details!
