Description: FIRST EDITION, titled Quakers in the Founding of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, authored by J. Reaney Kelly, published in 1963 by the Maryland Historical Society. Overall in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with the main wear issue being about 10 pages in the book having some underlining and marginal highlighting in pencil and ink by a previous owner, no doubt an individual with some family history associated with the Quakers in rural Maryland. An example of that is provided in the listing photos. Otherwise, dust jacket with light edge and corner wear, a few tiny tears and chips, mostly top and bottom of spine, fully intact and now handsomely portrayed in a mylar jacket. Pristine boards with clear gilt spine titling front board and spine. There is an erasure of pencil markings on the first free pictorial endpaper upper right hand (price?), 146 clean and solidly bound pages with no additional markings except for NICE DATE (Nov 1963) AND SIGNATURE OF THE AUTHOR ON THE HALF TITLE PAGE. There is also a center section of glossy photos and illustrations. A UNIQUE HISTORY OF THE QUAKERS IN RURAL MARYLAND! B98
