At Cape Canaveral yesterday, Astronaut Gordon Cooper identified this photograph, made with a hand-held Hasselblad camera through the window of the spacecraft, Faith 7, as showing the Himalayan Mountains. The dark area was part of the capsule which obstructed the lens as he held the camera to the window. Mercury ProjectPhoto measures 8.5 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 5-20-1963.
