Description: Valley News Echo. March 1862. Serving the Shenandoah and Potomac River Valleys. Hagerstown, Maryland. Vol. 3, No. 3. These newspapers were issued by The Potomac Edison Company during the Civil War Centennial. They issued these newspapers 100 years after the events actually occurred. They are written as if the events just occurred. They got material from the Library of Congress, National Archives and National Park Service then wrote these articles that affected their service area of the Shenandoah and Potomac River Valleys. The articles are well researched, well written and pull together historical information from all of the above mentioned sources. This issue has articles on Kernstown; Bunker Hill; Leesburg; much more. Even includes advertisements of the day. EX condition. Normal horizontal fold. I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we are forced to use. Shipping is $2.95 in the U.S. International Buyers – Please Note Please obtain shipping quote before bidding. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.
