1962 KAHN'S WIENERS BOLD FONT #30 A BUBBA PHILLIPS CLEVELAND INDIANS VAR BACK NM

Description: NOTE: This is a really cool one. Not only does this one have the more challenging "CLEVELAND INDIANS" back variation, but it is also what I am calling a "bold font" variation - I have a group of cards from this year where the font is thicker and bolder than most cards and often the backs are a beautiful clean white vs. the more typical toning evident. This came from a collection of hundreds of high end Kahn's cards that had been curated with tons of interesting rarities mixed in - lots of challenging pieces you are unlikely to find anywhere else. See photo #3 for the contrast between the two. Super crisp card, just a tiny bit of wear on the back corners visible only grading this one NM, strictly and accurately graded. With what I see being a double variation on this one, this is a tough card! Thanks for looking. I am getting into a run of very interesting 1962 Kahn's cards. For most players in the set I will have 2 variations of each card: one is a normal issue, the other with a bold typeface on the back for the player's stats. I don't know if this is a recognized variation - my guess is these were issued in a secondary run, or perhaps some kind of presentation set. While many of the 62's have some toning around the edges on back, these with the bold generally do not. I am presently breaking up a collection of Kahn's cards ranging from 1961-1963, all are black and white issues.
