Berlin Wall - According to the Four-Power Agreement and the agreement of June 20, 1949, the Soviet Union had engaged to guarantee the free traffic within the sectors of the city and between Berlin and Western Germany. The U.S.S.R. violated the agreements together with the illegal dictators of the Soviet-occupied zone of Germany. Since August 13, 1961, barbed wires and high walls up to 3 meters divide Berlin into free West Berlin and the barricaded Eastern sector. The East Berliners are now guarded as in a concentration camp and are prevented to fly or to travel legally to free Germany (Federal Republic of Germany).
