1960s True Stereo Ravel Mozart String Quartets Quartetto Italiano NO UK SAX NM

Description: Tricky this, I may well have massively under priced it!.1960s Stereo Ravel & Mozart String Quartets from the Quartetto Italiano. This Title Was Never Released Commercially In Stereo as a UK Columbia SAX, Only in Mono as 33CX 1727 here in the UK. This is a true 1960s valve pressed Japan Angel with the earliest gold cream labels on Red Everclean vinyl, in the picture envelope inner with a curved cut flipback sleeve. I have heard the Australian SAXF of this, and this pips it for quieter surfaces due to superior vinyl being used. It is also much rarer, hardly ever found for sale, none on Discogs, none in Popsike. In August of 2019 the UK test pressing for this sold for £4980. That one had YBX 1003 -1 and YBX 1004 -2 mastering stamps. They chose not to issue it, so we can assume there was something unacceptable about the 1st mastering. This one is YBX 1003 -2 and YBX 1004 -2, so the Ravel was remastered, and the Mozart was accepted unchanged from the test pressing. That UK test pressing is the rarest version of this, the US solid State later issue is the most common, the Australian is the next hardest to find, then the Italian issue, then this is the second hardest version to find, as outlined above, not showing in the usual searches of sales info. This record is in beautiful Near mint condition, only one or two spindles so barely played and unmarked playing surfaces, in an Excellent sleeve, light creasing due to its thin design, two age spots, so super clean for a golden age of stereo LP.
