Four perfect corners, 55/45 or better centering, smooth edges, original color border and gloss; no print spots, color of focus imperfections. NRMT-MT: Near Mint-Mint A NRMT-MT card must have 60/40 centering or better, smooth edges, original color borders and gloss. One of the following very minor flows is allowed: a slight touch of wear on one corner, barely noticeable print spots, color of focus imperfections. NRMT: Near Mint Centering of 70/30 to 60/40. In addition, one of the following minor flaws is allowed: a slight touch of wear on two or three corners, slightly rough edges, minor print spots, color or focus imperfections. EXMT: Excellent-Mint Centering no worse than 80/20. No more than two of the following flaws are allowed: two or three fuzzy corners, slightly rough edges, very minor border discoloration, minor print spots, color or focus imperfections. EX: Excellent Centering no worse than 80/20 with four fuzzy corners. May also have rough edges, minor border discoloration and minor print spots, color of focus imperfections. VGEX: Very Good-Excellent Centering no worse than 85/15 with slightly rounded corners. Surface wear is noticeable but modest. Some original gloss will be retained. VG: Very Good Handled, but not abused. Slightly rounded corners with slight layering, slight notching on edges, moderate border discoloration, some gloss lost from the surface but no scuffing. May have hairline creases. GD: Good A GD card's corners show accelerated rounding and surface wear is starting to become obvious. A good card may have scratching, scuffing, light staining, or chipping of enamel on front. There may be several creases. Original gloss may be completely absent. Card may show considerable discoloration. Centering must be 90/10 or better on the front and back. PR: Poor A PR card will exhibit many of the same qualities of a GD but the defects may have advanced to such a serious stage that the eye-appeal of the card has nearly vanished in its entirety. A Poor card may be missing one or two small pieces, exhibit major creasing that nearly breaks through all the layers of cardboard or it may contain extreme discoloration or dirtiness throughout that may make it difficult to identify the issue or content of the card on either the front or back. A card of this nature may also show noticeable warping or another type of destructive defect. These Grading Standards are taken mostly from Beckett Baseball Price Guide.
